Plant Swap

Saturday September 24th at 10am - The Community Seed Library; Kailua-Kona

As part of our first "birthday party" for the Community Seed Library on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Library in Kailua, Kona, we will have a plant swap on the lanai. Bring clean seed and plants without pests. Seeds in pods can contain little fireants, beetles and other pests so please remove any seed from pods before bringing.

Seed experts Lyn Howe, Nancy Redfeather & Ilana Stout will be on hand to share tips, how they store seed for best longevity and their favorite crop varieties. They will also show you how to conduct a simple germination test at home to determine viability of your seeds or those you pick up at the exchange.
