Amaranth Aupa Malip
$5.00Price
Identified in a large trial of vegetable amaranths. Unique looking and relatively compact. From Papa New Guinea from the USDA collection with accession number Ames 5111. Bright pink stems and green leaves.
For planting, try growing plants closely spaced together and cut back young growth or pull whole plant. For this method try direct sowing. Alternatively, start in the nursery and transplant at wider spacing, then cut back and let regrow, harvesting fresh growth sequentially. To learn more, see our blog on Amaranth!
