Pumpkin Tropical, Molokai Greeny

Molokai Greeny is a tropical pumpkin selection which is medium sized and dark green with a domed top. This winter squash is known as Calabaza in Latin and Filipino communities, and is well adapted to tropical conditions and stresses including tolerance to powdery mildew and viruses. Strong and resilient plants can handle most tropical conditions but does better in hot, sunny and humid conditions with adequate rainfall. 
Growing guidelines: sow 3/4 - 1" deep in 3 - 4" cells. Plant on the edge of a garden or in between garden trees as ground cover / weed suppressor. Vines will sprawl 10 feet or more in all directions.
Matures in 90+ days. Can be harested mature green for dishes where firm fruit are preferred or wait to change color to an orange beige. 
Ideal for pinakbet, a Filipino stew, pumpkin soup or pumpkin pie.
Can be stored for 2-3 months.
